A portrait of Joseph Cardinal Mindszenty, who was imprisoned in Soviet prisons for 8 years after the WWII, then spent 15 in the American Embassy before being exiled by the church to reside in the western world. As a symbol for religious belief to his people, politically he was also the Primate to Hungary and a threat to the regime. The Pope removed this title when he became exiled.
